Unfortunately, renting is not cheap.

We have a few smart people who can't afford the rent you want. Here are some suggestions for other housing options that may be right for you.

1. Accept temporary lease

Most landlords are looking for long-term and reliable renters, but extenuating circumstances may allow some landlords to find short-term renters at low prices.

2. Live behind

In the United States, the backyards of some homes have a legal structure and are very suitable for living. It is cheap, comfortable and very private.

If you want to rent an unusual building in someone else's backyard, be sure to investigate. All states and territories have different rules, but the general rule is that the structure should be detachable or mobile (such as a mobile home), or the structure must be attached to the main house. There are laws prohibiting the construction of a second home on a plot designed for a single-family home, so make sure that the place you rent is legally leased.

3. Sitting at home

For professionals, this is a good choice. Sometimes people are happy to let the housekeepers live free of charge in exchange for property maintenance, sometimes they ask for a minimum rent. Most people who need a family nanny are behind mature, responsible adults, so if you are one of them, you will have an advantage over other applicants.

4. Survey professional options

If you have the flexibility to deal with the type of work you are doing, there are many careers that can provide accommodation for employees. Ground crews in schools and universities can provide an apartment on campus. Seasonal professional teachers such as ski or surf instructors can usually find work, including accommodation during the season. There are usually jobs for in-house and babysitters, and some work places are good.

In the case of rent-free, there are always some sacrifices, but some of them can have a glimmer of hope, especially if you are willing to use a few free nights in exchange for a superior room.

5. Consider micro life

Many renters can ignore a property because of its size, but there are some absolutely cheap, micro-life markets. Micro-life usually constitutes less than 40 square meters, and most renters will not consider it.

This choice will require reducing the property and simplifying your life, but you can almost halve the rent and you pay for life tiny. Moreover, the most energy-efficient small house has a small amount of utility bills to pay.
